The North Dakota state legislature established a state scholarship program for resident students who graduate from a ND high school and meet the criteria. Students are eligible to apply for the North Dakota State Scholarship in the amount of $750 per semester, or $500 per quarter, for a total annual payment of $1,500 based on full-time enrollment in an accredited higher education institution in North Dakota, both public and private.
The scholarships are renewable provided the student is enrolled full time and maintains a 2.75 GPA based on a 4.0 scale, reviewed each semester. Students may be eligible for up to $6,000 within six academic school years (do not have to be consecutive) after graduation for undergraduate courses.
Application deadline is the first Friday in June of your graduating year. Graduates notified of their eligibility for either scholarship by mid-July at which time students must log in to the application site and either accept or defer the scholarship. Applications will be available online beginning in January. More information can be found at:https://www.nd.gov/dpi/familiescommunity/students/north-dakota-scholarship.
